Sofa Club have loved the interior trends that have come to light throughout this past year, from colour palettes to furniture, home decor to wall-art, we've picked some of our favourite trends of this year that we know are going to continue to be popular in 2020...

Neutrals

Neutral and earthy colour palettes saw a resurgence in many homes this year. Typically with warm or dusty tones, it's no surprise that these cosy shades were popular throughout traditional and modern homes as the colours can adapt to any living space. We saw that the best homes were the simplest ones - the ones who didn't get carried away with colour but rather stuck to simple styling to really achieve that minimalist yet homely feel. 

Symmetry 

From flowers to our bodies, all the most beautiful things are symmetrical. There's something about a mirror image that soothes and relaxes our eyes and brain and the image of a symmetrical room isn't any different. This year symmetry was incredible popular in our homes - pick a line of symmetry that lines up with the door, and balance furniture and decorations on each side for a more aesthetically pleasing look in your home. 

Wall-art

There's nothing worse than a beautifully decorated room with a big, bare wall. Wallpapering can usually be expensive, so this year we saw a rise in pretty picture walls. Whether it be motivational quotes or personalised pictures and frames, the fun and affordable way of creating a feature wall with prints has become very popular and incredibly eye-catching!
