1. Do handyman work yourself
   It’s amazing what just a few tools, a YouTube tutorial and a bit of time can do. Leave the big things to the professionals, but there’s no reason to call someone out for doing a bit of light painting.
2. Stay simple and don’t overcomplicate
   A lick of paint and a couple new decorations can do wonders for uplifting a room. Pick small and cheap things to change while keeping the expensive kitchen staples the same, to give the whole room a different perspective. Appliances can also be painted over to give them a new lease on life!

   Designer products are great, but there’s often cheaper versions of whatever look you’re after available for a cut cost price. Recycle and make yourself for even more low-cost options! Second hand stoves, fridges and ovens are a great way to get a discount on something that’s typically a very expensive necessary part of a kitchen.
