How to use lighting to your advantage in large spaces
In interior design lighting can make all the difference

In interior design lighting can make all the difference. You should look at lighting as a tool to be used to change the sense of a space. A large space can generally feel harsh and bare; it can lack that all important personal touch. With the right lighting you can shape that same space to feel more cosy and homely instead. Low hanging soft lights will help make the room feel less cold and make you and your guests feel just a little bit comfier, not that it's possible to feel any more comfy when you're lying on your super soft sofa club sofa.

Windows wise you can either decide to go full out Grand Canyon viewing centre using no curtains or blocks to the light, along with white colours so that you can almost feel like you're living right outside! Or you could go for covering your windows with large thick curtains in warm colours to allow for a warmer feeling and more comfort, paired with a toastier colour palette in the room; a dark floor may also work to make the room feel smaller and smaller spaces just feel cushier- alright, alright-not if they've got your ex in them! Whatever you decide to do, make sure that there are enough artificial light fixtures to cover the entire room fully, the last thing you want in a large room are creepy dark corners!
