A few more tips from us...
- Brush Your Pet: Regularly brush your pets to reduce the amount of hair that ends up on your sofa. This is especially important during shedding season.
- Nail Trimming: Keep your pet's nails trimmed to minimise the risk of scratches and snags on the upholstery.
- Vacuum Frequently: Use a vacuum with a pet hair attachment to clean your sofa regularly. Pay special attention to crevices and seams where fur can accumulate.
- Lint Rollers: Keep a lint roller or pet hair remover handy for quick touch-ups between deeper cleanings.
- Pet-Safe Cleaners: Use pet-safe fabric cleaners to address any accidents or stains immediately. Blot, don't rub, to avoid pushing the stain deeper into the fabric.
- Baking Soda: Sprinkle baking soda on your sofa to absorb odors and then vacuum it up after a few hours.
- Durable Materials: Opt for tightly woven fabrics like microfiber, luxe chenille, or velvet that are more resistant to scratches and easier to clean.
- Colour Consideration: Choose sofa colours that camouflage pet hair or patterns that can help hide any stains.
