Making the most of your dark floor
At the moment we're loving the air and drama that a stained wooden floor can give

At the moment we're loving the air and drama that a stained wooden floor can give. But just as important as the floor itself is the other features of the room and how they work together. Bright walls are a must for any sort of dark floor, otherwise you risk being eaten by the beast when the lights flicker!

Plants with lots of bright green leaves highlight the edge between the floor and the walls, but at the same time bring the room together. We think this is the perfect chance to show off our best goods against the difference and peace created between the two parts of the room, as our eyes are guided towards the middle, just where they should be!

The one bad part of a dark floor, and this is the same problem with using darker colours in general, is although it makes the room seem happier and more snug it also gives the effect that it's smaller than it is; which can be risky business for an already cramped space! To help lessen this, keep clutter the least and create pops of colour throughout the room to spotlight distance.
