3 Interior Design Rules To Break

3 Interior Design Rules To Break

Breaking the rules has never been so fun! Interior design is all about being unique and thinking outside the box, so we’ve gathered 3 traditional interior design rules that we believe are made to be broken! You'll thank us later...

Avoid clashing colours
Gone are the days where colours had to 'match' or 'complement' each other. You can now be as bold and as colourful as you like! Right now, we (and Instagram) are loving the moodiness of mustard yellow and navy blue. To pull off this look, why not try a standout navy sofa like our gorgeous Chigwell Sofa, and add a pop of colour by with mustard cushions for the ultimate stand-out contrast.

A higher price means better quality

Nowadays, there are plenty of affordable options out there for pretty much every design or piece of furniture you can think of. Not every room needs a big budget to get the best results! With the internet, it is now super easy to shop around for the best deals. Check out some of our best sellers this month to get the best deal for your next sofa or footstool.

Have one feature wall

For years the standard advice for a struggling room was to wallpaper one of the walls to add texture and colour. Many designs included a single block colour or a single wallpaper design. Recently, we’ve broken through that barrier. Sometimes, it’s time for your walls to take centre stage with a snazzy ombre or busy pattern. So if you’re feeling bold, head to Pinterest to check out some amazing wallpaper designs that could fill an entire room!
