2 ways to update and refresh your home

There’s no better feeling than walking into a room that just works. But sometimes though you’ve got to change it up to move with the times. Might seem like a daunting task at first, but don’t worry, we’ve collected 3 ways you can freshen up a room without ruining the style or the bank.

  1. Invest in one or two new features that blend in with your current style

We get it, you spent a lot of time getting this room absolutely perfect and now it looks great, you don’t want to mess with it! But nothing changes the fact that over time styles change and, let’s be honest, you’re probably bored of seeing the same old stuff every day! Adding one or two different pieces or features, ranging from something as big as a new sofa or as small as a new clock can do wonders for changing the overall look of a room. Trust us and try it!
  2. Modernise old and worn-down furniture or clean up old vintage pieces

We love some good vintage just as much as the next person, but really, at some point you have to draw a line between on style and repurposed and just plain old! I know it might seem hard, but have a look at your mature furniture and really think about whether or not it’s past it’s best at this point. Don’t forget that you can always clean up and stylise old pieces that have only lost a bit of shine, but if there’s bits falling off or missing its probably time to let it go.
