Christmas is just around the corner and it’s nearly time to start picking out your tree and decorations! Confused? The experts at Sofa Clubb have designed their way through many a Cheerful Christmas and have some great tips for making sure you pick the right tree for your family.
It’s important to remember to not get too bogged down on price, sometimes you have to spend that little extra to get a better-quality tree. If you have children or curious pets, you may want to consider trees with softer needles such as firs or pines rather than sharp needled spruce trees which can hurt if stepped on! It’s important to check how fresh a tree is before falling in love with it, check the needles closely, they should be green and fresh looking- if you bend them, they should leak very slightly- a fresh tree’s leaves should never snap! Similarly, when touching or gently pulling the tree there shouldn’t be any needles falling off, this is a sign of freshness and doubles as a good sign for your floor!
Figure out what sort of tree you want before you go out hunting. Christmas only comes around once a year; but good memories last a lifetime. If it always seems like your tree in previous years is too big or too small, do yourself a favour and take a quick picture of the space, with someone standing there for reference, that way you can easily compare sizing and imagine the tree, home and snug!
