Top Tip: How to Not Go Overboard with Your Living Room

Top Tip: How to Not Go Overboard with Your Living Room

Difficult, we know, the temptation is always there to put a little bit extra, just a tad more of X and then you’ll stop. By the time we’ve finished we’re knee deep in about 100 Xs and Ys and Ps and genuinely regretting life and the decision we made to get up that morning. Not to worry though, following the tips in this article is a surefire way to stop yourself before it’s too late for everything!

Before you add something new to your living room, always take a step back and look at it. Does it look good now? Could it really look better? A mistake we see all too often is people not stopping to appreciate what they’ve already done and how nice the sofa looks exactly there, there’s no need to smother it to death with blankets if it’s beautiful by itself!

Think about the clear space in your living room, opposite or between your sofas should be the space of the sofa itself but empty, your eyes need something to look at but they also need a break once in a while. Never mind the practicality of needing to walk and use the room. Another way of keeping it toned down is to keep cost in mind, money runs the world and if you put a budget up and tot everything you’re putting into a room up, you’ll soon learn not to keep adding this and that and whatever little bits and bobs at a time.
