What's the saying? Creativity begins at home. Not strictly true in our case and I'm sure there's a lot of people with a few words to say about that one! Doesn't mean there's not ways to inspire yourself to be more creative without having to leave the comfort of your living room! First of all, it's difficult to get the creative juices flowing when you're surrounded by mess, keep your home nice and tidy and you'll not only find it easier to think up the good stuff but you'll also find it easier to imagine what your home would look like with each idea with less clutter in your vision! Secondly, when you're thinking about the possible things you could do, don't be shy to move things around in the room to show you what it might look like. We've not all got perfect imagination and even if we can't copy exactly what we're thinking, just using something of a similar size or colour works well to get the mind going!
Colour is great inspiration, so work with it. Whether it's bright, dark or neutral colour creates emotions, ideas and brings a home together. If you're struggling for ideas on which colours to use, look outside the window, nature is full of a massive range of different shades that all work together and look great. If a tree can do it, so can you and your home! Take and use colour as an inspiration for patterns and arrangements of furniture and art, you won't be disappointed.
