We’ve always known our sofas were comfy… but it turns out they’re also where a lot of work gets done.
Recently, we ran a little series of Instagram polls to find out just how many of you swap the desk for the sofa when working from
home. The results? Let’s just say, it’s official, the sofa is the UK’s hottest home office (pun intended).

The Results Are In
Over 2,000 of you answered our first poll, and 59% admitted to working from the sofa.
That’s already more than half of people ditching the desk for the cushioned life.
But here’s where it gets interesting… we then asked, “Sofa office during a heatwave?” and a huge 78% of you said “always”.
That’s right, when the sun’s blazing outside, the sofa wins hands down.
Finally, we wanted to know your ideal hot weather setup. 66% voted for the 'sofa and fan' combo, while just 34% went for a desk with an iced drink. Clearly, comfort and airflow beat posture and productivity points in the summer heat.

Why the Sofa Wins in the Heat
The sofa has a lot going for it, you can sprawl, shift positions, and stay close to a fan or window. Plus, it’s often in the coolest part of the house. Let’s be honest: if the alternative is sweating over a desk
with a squeaky chair, we know which one we’d choose.
